Artist StatementYellow Flower
This photo was taken on the golf course in my backyard. It was right near a creek but you cannot see that. This was the only little yellow flower around the area and I thought that it looked very cool because it looked out of place. This little yellow flower is very interesting because you would not think that it would grow where It did. I had to try a couple of different angles to get this flower and portray it perfect through the lens of the camera. I finally got what I think was the perfect angle and knew that it showed a very great picture of this little yellow flower. Big Sigh This photo of the plant was a great representation of myself at the time. It looks tired and droopy. I knew that this plant was going to have some meaning behind it when I found it. I just didn’t know what yet. I also added the black and white effect to also show kind of how this photo is gloomy almost. It is kind of a depressing photo, but that was what I was going for. I had a hard time trying to get only that part of the plant, but I got it finally and I think that it looks very good like this. The Outlier Again, an outlier… this little pink plant is one of a kind in its scenery. I think that it sticks out so much because of its pink color and automatically draws your eyes right to it. This was a fun photo to take because of where I had to go to get the right angle and what I had to step in. I got the right photo after a couple of bad attempts but I believe this photo is really good. I wanted to keep this photo with its close to original colors in order to show how out of the ordinary this pink is with all of its green surroundings. I like this photo the best out of the three. That is because of the fun I had taking it. |
